Wait... It's not another chart library. While searching for chart components with smooth animations and dynamic data visualizations, I realized there weren't many options available. So, I decided to build my own. Built with [Recharts](https://recharts.github.io/) and [Shadcn](https://shadcn.com/ui).

## The Problem

EvilCharts is built by [Gurbinder](https://x.com/legionsdev) (Design Engineer @ Axiom.co). As a design engineer, I see ugly and common charts everywhere, and no one in the community is creating a beautiful chart library.

There are tons of chart libraries out there, but none of them are beautiful — even though they allow customization, I see that no one is customizing them and they just use them as provided via docs.

So, here I'm building a beautiful charts component website, open source, open code, it's all yours...

## Why I named it EvilCharts?

"Evil" doesn't mean malicious. It means:

- Unapologetically opinionated UI choices 
- Design-first, animated, unique designs
- Handcrafted with SVGs and [Motion](https://motion.dev) to stand out

## Built on Recharts

While finalising the design for EvilCharts, I wanted a good headless chart library. I went over tons of chart libraries and found that Recharts has amazing features and is easy to use in every project.
